As a global industry wide thought leader Leith has been a delegate since 2010 (14yrs) on the ISO Committee for Asset Management (TC251), a delegate (currently Chair) since 1995 (28yrs) on the ISO Committee for Condition Monitoring of Machines Systems, and a delegate (currently Chair) for Standards Australia since 1993 (30yrs) on the Standards Australia Committee for Machine Condition Monitoring (ME-087, previously AV009). He also lectures as part of the Queensland University of Technology Master's in Engineering and Asset Management. Leith has 30+ years of experience in Asset Management, Reliability Engineering and Continuous Improvement. He has extensive technical expertise in developing and applying Asset Management Frameworks, Asset Management Strategies (SAMP), Asset Management Plans (AMP), reliability improvement strategies, life cycle management plans and QA/QC strategies and plans which requires in-depth knowledge of AM, LCC, FMECA, RCM, RBI, RCA, CM, RBD, RCD, RCS, QA/QC, and developing specifications and procedures. As an expert in Warranty Claim Management and Forensic Engineering, Leith has completed over 300M (capital value only) of dispute resolution, warranty & insurance claim investigations and expert witness consulting. Leith has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He is a Chartered Professional Engineer, a Member of the Institution of Engineers in Australia and is a Fellow of the International Society of Engineering Asset Management. He is a Certified as an ISO 55001 Asset Management Assessor (CAMA), Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), RCM II Facilitator (Aladon) and a Change Management Facilitator (Prosci). Leith is certified as a Vibration Analyst (Level III), Rotordynamics analyst (Advanced), IR Thermographer (Level II), and a Lubricant Analyst (Level III). Leith is also qualified in NDT and Welding Inspection. He has presented over 100 papers and Key Note addresses and delivered over 100 training courses covering Asset Management, Reliability Engineering, Predictive Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis and Failure Analysis within Australia, Malaysia, PNG, NZ, UK, USA, China, France, Africa and Brazil.
